Ardith dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker, and her devotion to her family knew no bounds. She found joy in canning, cooking, and cherishing precious moments with her loved ones. Her home radiated warmth and comfort, making everyone who entered feel welcome. She leaves behind a legacy of love.
Ardith is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years; five children and their
spouses; 6 grandchildren and their spouses; 15 greatgrandchildren, one greatgreatgrandchild. and is also survived by her grandchildren: . She is also
survived by a great-grandchild. Ardith will be dearly missed by her many friends who were touched by her gracious smile.
She was preceded in death by her late husband of 29 years, George Shinn; grandson, Justin Ordon, her son-in-law, Wayne Ordon, and her great-grandson, William
Eckerson 1st; two brothers Martin and Leroy Awalt and a sister Bernadine Jeardoe.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Friday, October 6, 2023,
during the calling hours from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m.
Following the calling hours, a graveside service for the family will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, situated at the intersection of Weibel Avenue and Louden Road in Saratoga Springs, New York.
