He was preceded in death by his wife, Elva Jean Norrell Stanfield; mother, Eula Henry Stanfield; father, Edgar Lee (Jack) Stanfield; 2 brothers, Billy Jack Stanfield and Jim Lee Stanfield and 2 sisters, Odessa Horton (sic) and Sue Jones.
He is survived by his son, James Keith Stanfield and his wife, Barbara of Shreveport; 2 daughters, Karen Lea Stanfield of Minden and Amanda Jean Stanfield Simmons and her husband, Jeff of Ruston; grandchildren, Kevin Stanfield, Destiny Stanfield, Brandy Stanfield, Amie Nunn, Shelly Higgins, Aubrey Simmons and Abigail (Abby) Simmons; great-grandchildren Farrah Stanfield, Chloe Stanfield, Jenna Stanfield, Calix Moore and Lealand Moore and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held in Ruston at Grace United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. A second visitation will be held in Minden at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Friday, April 11, 2008 from 5-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in Minden at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Evans officiating.
Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Ringgold.
