Lathan R. Hulva, 69, Centralia, formerly of Bloomington, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital, Centralia. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Gamier and Sons Funeral Home, Centralia. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Centralia. He was born Aug. 2, 1908, in Bloomington, a son of Charles and Mabel Drew Hulva. He married Lillian May Wheery in 1929 in Pontiac. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Patricia Janes and Sandra McBride, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Carol Schwartz, Carbondale; eight grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Mr. Hulva was a district manager for American Family Life Assurance Company.
