OBITUARY

JEFFREY LINN ALLEN

Jeffrey Linn Allen was born on October 28, 1966 in Cedar Rapids, IA and passed away on June 1, 2019 in Albia, IA. He was the son of Dorothy and Donald Allen.

Jeff attended Chariton Community Schools and graduated in 1987. His interests in school were art, drama, metals, and small engines. He helped with play productions which led to him becoming a thespian. Mrs. Helen Krutsinger and Mr. Paul Allen helped to guide him and made a great influence in his life.

Jeff worked at Iowa Assemblies, Osceola foods and Quick Tron. When Quick Tron closed he enrolled at Vatterott College in their power sports program. After he graduated he went to work at Pella Corp.

Jeff collected and read books by Anne Rice. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and going to concerts. A fan of Harley Davidson bikes, he also enjoyed riding with his friends and family.

Preceded in death by his father Don and infant brother Doug, his paternal grandparents Clarence R. and Mable M. Allen, maternal grandparents Clede Mand and Bernice Mitchell, Uncle Lloyd Mitchell and Aunt Edith (Mitchell) Wilson, and Uncle Franklin Goering.

Survived by his mother Dorothy Allen of Chariton, brothers Marvin (Trinity) Allen of Oskaloosa, Brian Allen of Ft. Collins, Colo., Rodney (Nickie) Allen of Chariton, sisters Angela Johnson of Chariton and Debra Stevens of Colfax, Iowa. Nephew Kevin (Christina Snow) Allen of Allerton, Iowa, Curt and Levi Allen of Chariton and Grant Allen of Oskaloosa, Iowa, nieces Vada Abrahamson of Ankeny and Emma Abrahamson of Chariton, also nephew Danny Stevens Jr. of Colfax, David, Dennis and Daryl Stevens of Walton Beach, Fla., aunts Alice Goering of Leon, Joycee (Bob) Martin of Des Moines, Patsy (Mike) Musgrove of Chariton, and Meme (BruceP Mussmann of Des Moines, twenty-one cousins.

Services were June 7, 2019 at Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, IA., officiated by Pastor Eric Hoover. Interment was at Humeston Cemetery, Humeston, IA.
