Donna Lange age 84, of Onslow, died Friday afternoon, February 4, 2005 at her home following and extended illness.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 Wednesday morning, February 9, 2005 at the Scotch Grove Presbyterian Church, rural Scotch Grove. With interment in the Scotch Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 Tuesday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Mercy.
Surviving are her husband, Leo, 8 children, Joyce Souby, Marion, Leon Lange, Onslow, William Lange, Rogers, Arkansas, Lois Lang, DesMoines, Andrea Kimmerle, Davenport, Diane Beers, Waterloo, Laurel Cappers, Cedar Rapids, Joe Lange, Monticello. 23 Grandchildren, 41 great-Grandchildren, and 5 great-great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, 2 grandsons Billy Lange and Tyler Zabawa, a granddaughter, April Sue DeLarm, 4 sisters, Wilma Hester, Ruth McCalment, Sibyl Wallroff, Beulah Meyers and a brother James Carpenter.
Donna M. Carpenter was born August 31, 1920 at Onslow, Iowa. She was the daughter of Leon and Jessie McCullough, Carpenter. Donna attended the Sutton School near Canton.
Donna M. Carpenter and Leo Lange were married November 23, 1936.
The couple farmed in the Onslow area until 1949. From 1949 until 1991 they farmed near Scotch Grove. In 1991 the couple returned to Onslow to make their home.
