Robert James Johnson (note no "t"), son of John Johnson and Mary Johnson, was born in Mooretown, Lampton (sic), Ontario Canada on September 16, 1869, and passed from this life on December 18, 1933, as a result of an automobile accident on the highway near Cambridge, Nebr. On November 24, 1889, he was united in marriage to Sarah I. Hiatt to which union was born nine children, four of whom preceeded him in death several years ago. At the age of three years he moved with his parents to Harrison county, Mo. and has spent his entire life in this community. On June 19, 1892, he was baptized a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint's to which faith he has continued faithful. He leaves to mourn his sudden departure his companion, Mrs. Sarah Johnson, five children, Mrs. Ethel Bowen of Woodrow, Colo.; Jake Johnson of Casper, Wyo.; Mrs. T. G. Laird of Eagleville, Mo.; Mrs. Ruby Jane Garner of Casper, Wyo.; and Ora Johnson who resides at home with his mother. Also his aged father John Johnson of Hatfield, MO., four brothers and three sisters as well as 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. His mother and two brothers have also preceeded him to the great beyond. Mr. Johnson's friends are numbered with his acquaintances as he was a friend to all and a most accomodating and helpful neighbor. His sudden departure is a great shock to all who knew him and a great loss to his community and family.
