Henry Estes Ayers (aged 65) died on February 14, 1950 at St. Luke's Hospital, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.

He was born on August 19, 1884 in Danvers Township, McLean County, Illinois, a son of John Thompson Ayers and Harriet Agnes (Estes) Ayers.

He was a grandson of Joseph Bloomer and Sarah Catherine (Haybarger) Ayers, who were pioneer residents in McLean County, Illinois.

Henry Estes Ayers married Geraldine Vera Simons on January 1, 1921 in Berrien County, Michigan. She survived his death. No children were born of this marriage.

Mr. Ayers was a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University and Chicago Kent College of Law. He was a member of Landon Guaranty and Accident company from 1911-1915, assistant corporation counsel for the City of Chicago from 1921 to 1924 and a Cook County Illinois Assistant State's Attorney from 1925 to 1933.

He was also survived a brother, Luther Ayers and a sister, Sadie Amanda (Ayers) Jarret.
