Joseph “Joey” Paul Conley, 56, of Oceana, formerly of Dry Creek, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 7, 2020 at his home. After graduating from Oceana High School in 1982, Joey served his country by enlisting in the US Air Force. He thoroughly enjoyed playing his guitar and was a member of several different rock bands over the years.

Born July 7, 1964 in Welch, WV he was the son of Geneva "Jean" Conley and the late Joseph Alexander Conley (1921-1967). In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Steven Conley (1954-2014).

Joey is survived by his mother, Geneva of Oceana; a daughter, Patricia Rose Conley of Welch; a sister, Laura Conley-Ellis & husband Kevin Ellis of Pineville; a brother, David Conley of Oceana; nephews, P.J. Ellis and Travis Ellis; and a great-niece, Bayleigh Ellis.

Private services will be held for immediate family members and he will be laid to rest at Palm Memorial Gardens.
