Larrie was born on October 1, 1924 in Chehalis Washington. She attended Washington Grade School, Boise, and graduated from Boise High School in 1942. She married Bill Fisher an Army Air Corp B-24 pilot June 4, 1946 in Chehalis Washington. In 1947 the couple moved to the University of Idaho, Moscow, where Bill received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1949 the couple moved with their daughters Jan and Judee to Pool Forge Pennsylvania where Bill began his engineering career for New Holland Machine Company. The family moved back to Eagle Idaho in 1952 to help Bill's father and mother Theodore and Mildred Fisher with the Fisher Farm. Two more children, Jo and David were added to the family.
Larrie and Bill were active in the community, supporting the Eagle School PTAs, local churches and various community actions. With four children in the household, the couple built their dream house on North Eagle Road at the edge of the farm.
The couple separated in 1963. Larrie enrolled in Boise Business College and then worked for Trust Joist Corporation as their office manager and Assistant to the President. On February 14, 1967, Larrie married John MacMillan and welcomed two bonus children, Shary and Gregor, into the family. Larrie and John and the expanded family's younger children family lived in the house on North Eagle Road until 1974, when they moved to Houston, Texas, where John pursued higher education. When John and Larrie divorced in 1976, she returned to the house on North Eagle Road.
In 1980, Larrie moved into Western Village, a retirement community in Boise. The children and grandchildren enjoyed visiting her there and swimming in the community pool.
Larrie moved to Ashley Manor in 2009 and resided there until her recent illness. The family would like to thank Ashley Manor's Manager Genie Wilcox-Navarro, caregivers, and staff for their kindness, efforts and care. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses in comfort care on the 5th Floor South Tower at St. Alphonsus for their compassion, consideration and dedication in our mother's final days.
