Obituary: "Hettie Dawkins Williams, age 84, of Banks died Thursday, August 18, 1988 at Bradley County Memorial Hospital. She was born April 11, 1904 in Mississippi, a daughter of the late Hughey Dawkins and Lucy Baker Dawkins. Mrs. Williams was a housewife and a member of the Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church.

"She was preceded in death by her husband, F.L. Williams. Survivors include a son, Billy Ray Williams of Shreveport, Louisiana; a daughter Clydine Carmical of Warren; a brother, Morris Dawkins of Warren; a sister, Lottie Mae Phillips of Warren; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

"Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, at Frazer's Chapel of the Chimes with Rev. Dewayne Ashcraft and Rev. Jay Bagwell officiating. Betty Simmons was organist and Bob Haygood sang. Burial was in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Gary Haygood, Larry Reaves, Terry Nations, Jody Simmons, Gene Sparks and Larry Wherry."
