Sapulpa, Dec 18,---George B. Meeker, Pioneer citizen of this city died last night at the Oklahoma hospital in Tulsa from injuries received Wednesday afternoon when he was crushed between two trucks. Meeker had lived in Sapulpa for 26 years and was one of the first settlers. For a number of years he had been a member of the board of education and took a great pride in the spendid school system that he helped to build. He owned considerable property here and was prominent in fraternal circles.
Meeker is survived by a wife and six children. All of the children are grown and married except one son. All the relatives will be here to attend the funeral services that are to be held tomorrow afternoon at 230pm at the First Baptist Church. Interment is to be in the new South Heights Cemetery.
George was over the instalation of laying the water lines in Sapulpa to bring running water to each home. All done with teams of horses.
