Atlanta Constitution - 12/1/1914 - Page 12 - The friends of Dr. and Mrs. J. Q. (John Quincy) Brantley, Master J. Q. (John Quincy) Brantley, Jr, Mr & Mrs. I. E. (Isaac E.) Tinney, Mr. J. S. (James Seaborn) Tinney and Mrs. S. J. Brantley and family are invited to attend the funeral of Mrs. J. Q. (Maude Lillian Tinney) this morning at 11 am from the residence, 368 Grant Street. Rev. Dr. Frasser officiating. Interment Roswell, Ga. The following gentlemen are requested to act a pallbearers and meet at Greenberg & Bond Co's at 10 am: Mr. Vester Garraux, Mr. Harry Lyons, Mr. Lonie Cleveland, Mr. James Stallings, Mr. Ernest Dennard and Mr. Robert Hembree.

Maude and Dr. John Quincy Brantley, Sr. were married about 1903. They apparently only had one living son, John Quincy Brantley, Jr., but gave birth to another son, Louie C. Brantley, born 6/4/1901 and died 12/3/1904.

Mrs. Maud K. Brantley, 34 years old, died early morning at her home, 386 Grant Street. She is survived by her husband, Dr. J. Q. Brantley, son J. Q. Brantley, Jr, her parents, Mr. & Mrs. I. E. Kinney (s/b Tinney), and a brother, J. S. Kinney (s/b Tinney). The body will be carried Thursday morning to Roswell, Georgia, for funeral and interment.
