Barbara Adams, 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 8th, 2020.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Mottley Adams; her sons Joe Adams and Andy Adams; and her parents Archie and Grace Reaves.
Barbara was born and raised in Albertville, where she graduated Albertville High School in 1950. She planned to attend Auburn University after school, but instead she fell in love with Mottley Adams and married him. It turned out to be the best decision of her life.
Barbara and Mottley had 4 beautiful children and enjoyed a love filled 54-year marriage, until Mottley passed in 2008.
Ms. Adams worked at the Marshall Baptist Association for years, finally retiring when she was 78 years old. After that she enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
