Minnie was the daughter of Alfred and Lula Turner Luce. Her parents are also buried in Garden of Memories. She shares a stone with her first husband, John F. Sheridan, who she married 5 June 1929. Their son, Charlie Sheridan, is buried in Garden of Memories. After John's death, Minnie married Lawrence Julius Miller 2 July 1975 in Houston County. He is buried beside Minnie and John. After Lawrence died, she married Oland C. Sloan 6 May 1993 in Parker Co, TX.

Minnie Sloan
Services for Minnie Belle Sloan, 82, of Fort Worth, and formerly of Elkhart, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Barney Walker officiating. Burial well be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mrs. Sloan died Wednesday at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
She was born in Houston County on Oct. 20, 1911m, to Alfred and Lula Turner Luce. She was a homemaker, and a Baptist.
Mrs. Sloan was preceded in death by two sons, Charlie Sheridan and Jake Raney Sheridan; brother, Harvey Luce; sisters, Faye Daniels and Gladys Lomax; and two husbands, Frank Sheridan and L. J. Miller.She is survived by her step-daughter, Shirley Rawlains of Fort Worth; stepsons, Riley Sloan and Grover Sloan; sisters, Ardell Head and Mildred Sheridan, both of Elkhart, and Maude Buckhannan of Crockett; two grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Pat Blackmon, Riley Sloan, Grover Sloan, Johnny Nichols, E. A. Johnson and Charles Bridges.
