Mrs. Bradshaw died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at a Eudora nursing home.
She was born May 22, 1913, in Soldier, the daughter of Richard and Minnie Eva McCann Frakes. She attended Manhattan schools and lived in Overbrook since 1982, when she moved from Topeka.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Overbrook, the Kansas Pen Pals and the Missouri Pen Pals. She corresponded with more than 100 pen pals in the United States and several foreign countries.
She married Melvin Everett Bradshaw on Nov. 21, 1931, in Manhattan. He died April 30, 1992.
Survivors include a daughter, Rheva Victor, Lawrence; two sons, Richard Bradshaw, Berryton, and Leroy Bradshaw, Palmer, Alaska; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
