Jane married William Risher in July 1832 in Clarion County, Pennsylvania. They had five children: Angeline (1833-1863), John (1836-1906), Elizabeth (1840-1906), Robert Smiley (1842-1865), and Oliver (1843-1934). William died in June 1847 in Blairsville, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Jane appears to be living with her parents in 1850 in Toby, Clarion, Pennsylvania according to Census records.
On March 20, 1852, Jane married Isaac Dunlap in Hazel Green, Delaware County, Iowa. Isaac died on September 25, 1870 in Iowa. After Isaac died in 1870, his children from a previous marriage took everything away from Jane. She ended up working as a nurse well into her 80s, but was still struggling. She lived with her son, Oliver , who himself, had 9 children. In 1890, she filed for a Civil War pension for her son, Robert, who died during the war, and eventually received $14 a month pension.
From Iowa, Jane, Oliver, and his family, lived in Platte County, Nebraska before finally settling in Otterville, Cooper County,Missouri. Oliver had a small house built for her to live out her final days.

" Jane H Dunlap, who is born in Pennsylvania in 1808, died this morning at her home, 18 miles north east of the city. The funeral will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon and the interment will be in the Lebanon cemetery."
