As a child she worked on the family farm milking cows. Darlene was very intelligent woman once reading the entire encyclopedia, she loved drawing and took many art classes. She was Captain of the Fountain Hill High School Cheerleading Squad. Darlene worked for the former Dora Lee Manufacturing Hellertown as a Zipper Setter. She was Captain of the women’s bowling team at the former PMP Bowling Lanes in Hellertown. She loved camping with her family and mostly loved being a Mom and raising her children. She was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Center Valley where she served on the Quilting Guild. She was proud to be a pure "Finn" loving polka music which she played on her accordion and also played classical music on the piano. SISU

(Dawn) Linde of Hellertown; Sister: Rosenell (Robert) Vincent of CT; grandchildren: Jesse C. (Amy) Lakits, Shawn L. (Stephanie) Lakits, Nicole D. (Matt) Welsh; 7 great grandchildren. Leah, Colin. Keane, Avery, Tanner, Declan and Hailey. Predeceased in death by siblings: Dorothy Vogeler, Barbara Fenichel & Alvin E. Tuomela.
