Maretta J. Sholund “Retta” 90 of Green Valley AZ passed away on June 26, 2020. She was born in Central City Nebraska to Ted and Freda Ayres in 1929. She had 2 younger siblings; Mary Evans of Tulsa OK and Don Ayres of Texas. She grew up in Kearney Nebraska, and graduated from Kearney High School class of 1948. She married Harold Sholund of Gothenburg Nebraska, on September 7, 1949 at the First Presbyterian Church. They lived in Gothenburg and had 5 children. She is survived by her 5 daughters, and 3 granddaughters. She was a loving Mother/Nana to all of her girls. Daughters; Vicki Cassidy of Strasburg CO, Nancy Sholund of Aurora CO, Cyndy Johnson (Frank ) of Lakewood CO, Sharon Sholund of Centennial CO, and Karen Nisenbaum of Scottsdale AZ. Granddaughters Bridget Cassidy of Westminster CO, Katie Cassidy of Aurora CO and Lauren Nisenbaum of Scottsdale AZ. No services will be held. She will be buried in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
