Mrs. Evelyn Bradley, a lifelong resident of Gordon County, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Cherokee County, Alabama on June 23, 1928, daughter of the late Alvin and Rosie Nicodemus Haney. She was a Baptist.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Bradley in 1984; two sisters, Venice Patterson and Ethel Stanley; a brother, A.T. Haney; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by three sons, Jack (Vickie) Sanford, Hubert (Charlotte) Sanford, and Howard Sanford, all of Resaca; and three daughters, Lolita Conley of Calhoun, Minnie (Rusty) Busbee of Crestview, FL, and Millie (Bill) Moody of Eufaula, AL. Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren along with other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Bradley will be held Saturday, March 22nd at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Kenneth Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers include Scott Casey, B.J. Moody, John Chatman, William Busbee Jr., Chris Busbee, and Tommy Sanford. Honorary pallbearers are Howard Pack, Troy Pack, Kevin Sanford, Bobby Nabors, Jeremy Rutledge and Justin Walters.

The Bradley family will receive friends Saturday, March 22nd from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
