Minnie Van Fliet, 85, a 60-year Rialto resident, died December 9, 1980.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 422, the North American Benefit Association and the First Congregational Church of Rialto.
Survivors Include her son, Clement J. Van Vliet of La Jolla; four daughters, Leonora Shutt of Fontana, Veriel Herkelrath of Yucalpa, Janice Marti of Rialto and Evelyn Derlngton of Poway; 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday with services 11 a.m. Monday, all in Allen-McNearney Rialto Funeral Home. Interment Rialto Park Cemetery. Under the direction of Allen-McNearney Rialto Funeral Home.

She married Jacob Van Vliet on January 21, 1921, in Redlands, California. They had five children during their marriage. She died on December 9, 1980, in Poway, California, at the age of 85, and was buried in Rialto, California.
