OBITUARY.
MR. PHILIP HENRY GEHRIG.
Old friends of the Gehrig family will be sorry to hear that Mr. Philip Henry Gehrig, late of the Commercial hotel, passed away to his long home last night. He had had several relapses, and it had been thought that death had occurred on a previous day; but he afterwards rallied. He was a strong man until towards the close of the last year, when he showed signs of decline. He was reduced in his weight, owing to internal troubles. Deceased was a native of Albury district, where his father founded a large family of prosperous and industrious citizens. He leaves a widow and four sons and three daughters, who are well known and respected in this and the Albury districts. His hotel was always a combined hospital and hostelry, Mrs. Gehrig being the chief nurse; and families in this district will long remember them on that account. We offer our kindly sympathy to the widow and family in their bereavement.
