Duane Door, lovingly known as Dewey, the Christ loving, beef cutting, mission devoted legend himself won the race home on Friday, October 25, 2019. He was welcomed with open arms by his parents Chet and Til Door and will bunk again with his brother Dennis until the rest of us get one of those big bear hugs. At 57 years old, Dewey's impact here on Earth was as big and loving as he was. His brothers and sisters in Honduras and Guatemala will greet him with love and a familiarity of his warm smile and giant heart that we all love. His incredible life's story will be carried through the memories of his baby brother antics by .... Visitation will be Monday, October 28, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Stroo Funeral Home. 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids MI 49508. Funeral Service will be 11am at Moline CRC, 4341 Chappell St., Moline, MI. In lieu of flowers, please donate through Stroo Funeral Home, to the Love the Child orphanage in Guatemala.
