SALEM, W.Va. — Wanda Eloise Dukate, 99, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Genesis Salem Center.
She was born February 3, 1921, in Pricetown, WV, the daughter of the late Daniel Fletcher and Emma Daisy Miller Talkington.
Wanda graduated from Hundred High School. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, especially beach vacations, doing crafts and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Wanda is survived by two sons, Ronald Wayne Dukate and wife, Pamela and James Lynn Dukate and wife, Carol; three grandchildren, David James Dukate and Teri, John Paul Dukate and Shelley Lynn Dukate Goodwin and Jason; six great-great-grandchildren, Hannah, Wyatt, Caytor, Phillip, Colton and Zachery; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by husband, Paul Clifford Dukate on January 1, 1986 and nine siblings, John William Talkington, Isabel Grimm, Ersa Morris, Katherine Jane Davis, Aubrey Talkington, Golden Orville Talkington, Avril Higgins, Fonda Cole and Bernice Talkington.
A graveside service will be held at Pricetown Cemetery, Mannington Road, Mannington, WV on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Tim Black presiding.
