Allene and her husband owned and ran Ivey Hills Market on Austell Road for fifteen years. After leaving the family produce business, she worked in the cafeteria at Eastside Elementary School in Marietta for three years. After which, upon the request of Marietta friends, she began Allene's Produce at the Marietta Market On the Square. There, she became an icon affectionately known to customers as "The Tomato Lady" and served her customers for eight years.
Allene was preceded in death by her son, Rusty Voyles, her grandson, DR Holland, her mother, Cuba Wilmoth, her father, Lee Wilmoth, a brother and four sisters.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon 2:00-4:00 and Monday evening 6:00-8:00, Collins Funeral Home 4947 N. Main St., Acworth, GA 30101, 770.974.3133.
