Her husband Joseph was a member of the St. Joseph’s Polish Society during 1889. He died of dyspepsia (indigestion and heartburn, heart attack symptoms) at age 50, less than two years after his immigration to Marquette, leaving his wife, Mary, age 42 and 5 children under the age of 20.
