Willie Lee Patton was born on October 15, 1887 in Williamson County, Tennessee, the son of Thomas P "Tom" Patton (1864–1925) and Cora E (Andrews) Patton (1866–1935).
He was married to Annie Wilson (1891–Oct 1960), the daughter of Phil Wilson and Elizabeth (Jordan) Wilson.
A janitor at Peabody College and living at 1231 12th Avenue South in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, Willie was 72 years old and married when he died on July 13, 1960 at home of a heart attack. Burial was three days later in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashville.
