Orval F. Burton, 77, of 3625 34th St., Moline, formerly of Rock Island and Erie, died Tuesday, July 25, 1995, at home.

Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial is in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Mr. Burton was born Dec. 29, 1917, in Rice Lake, Wis., the son of Henry and Matilda Burton. He married Almedia Danny June 19, 1974, in Peoria.

He was employed as an electrician by Erie Casein, now known as Erie Foods International, for 10 years, retiring in 1983. Earlier he was employed as an electrical foreman by AMETEK, East Moline, for 25 years.

He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Shirley Perkins, Rock Island; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Elizabeth Griffith, Davis Junction, Ill., Michael and Cathy Griffith, Solon, Iowa, and Dan and Kat Griffith, Rock Island; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Wesley and Marvel Burton, Moline, and Kenneth and Cathy Burton, Minocqua, Wis.
