Robert "Bobby" John Gemora was born in California, to Carlos (Charlie) Gemora and Isabel Gemora (born Fyffe). He was the youngest of three children with brother Charles Patrick Gemora being the oldest and then sister Diana Isabel Gemora. He graduated from West High School in 1969. While there, Bobby played Football, was in Lettermans Club, took Wrestling, and was in the House of Representatives.
His widow is Teresa Staal Cowley and they have three children.
