Salt Lake City, UT-Lyle Morgan Reese, 97, passed away on March 28, 2013, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born October 10, 1915, in Evanston, Wyoming to Thomas Morgan and Lottie Mabel Reese. He married Virginia Brown on April 24, 1940 and later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He graduated from North Summit High in 1934. He played the trombone in the high school band. He settled down in Magna, and worked at the Kennecott Smelter during W.W. II. then moved to East Millcreek in 1947 and worked recapping tires for several different companies for 25 years. He then worked for the city as an operator at the Salt Lake City Water Reclamation Plant.
He is survived by his 3 children Jack M. Reese, Carolyn Miller and Kenneth W. Reese, granddaughter's Stormie R. Nielson and Lorrie R. Reese, great-grandchildren Paige A. Riedell and Dylan J. Riedell, brother Dale Reese, and caretaker Mary Daniels. Preceded in death by his loving wife, parents and brothers Carl and James.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the East Millcreek 7th Ward, 3408 S. Celeste Way (3100 E.), a viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Interment will be at Mt. View Memorial Estates.
