Harold W. Roberson of Cherokee, Iowa passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday, July 26, 2020.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 30th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sunset View Cemetery at Washta, Iowa. Pastor Barb Dinelli will officiate. For the graveside service please follow social distancing guidelines, masks are optional and bring a lawn chair if you like. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 29th from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.
Harold was born on March 6, 1939 at Cherokee, Iowa to Thorval and Bessie (Rutter) Roberson. He graduated from Grand Meadow High School. Harold was married to Jean Ann Cipperley on January 22, 1959 at Washta, Iowa. He had worked in the Feed Mill at Walnut Grove Products in Cherokee for many years until his retirement. He had resided in Cherokee County.
He was a member of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cherokee, Iowa. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his younger years. In later years he liked to have coffee and socialize with his friends, attending local sporting events, spending time with his family was important to Harold, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jean on January 22, 2014, three sisters Elsie Sadler, Betty Dahlberg, Virginia Williams, two brothers Richard and Louis Roberson.
He is survived by his two sons: Brad (Sherri) Roberson of Arnolds Park, Iowa; Bryan Roberson of Cherokee, Iowa; two grandchildren: Melody (Alan) Allworth of Fairfax, Virginia; Ethan Roberson of Cherokee, Iowa; also many nieces and nephews.
