Bob was born in Wichita, KS. The younger son of Meyer and Ethel Harris. He played football for East High School in Wichita and enjoyed going back for the class of 46 reunions.
He was well-known for his generosity and his willingness to help anyone. He could and would fix about anything. In the past several years he rebuilt an MGB and was extremely proud of that accomplishment.
He loved his church family and enjoyed the dinners, the games and the fellowship with them. The family was supported throughout his illness by the generosity of this family along with the many friends in the community.
Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Louise (Fulks) Harris, his daughter Becky McCartney, and his sons Rod and Kent, his grandson, Benji Harris, their extended families and several cousins, nephews, and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Richard.
