BATES, Mrs. Lula Mae age, 74, of Rt. 1 Gardendale passed away Monday at a local hospital. She is survived by her husband, Dewey Bates of Gardendale; 3 daughters, Mrs. Jean Blair of Torrence, Calif. Earline Wilson, of Long Beach, Calif. and Mrs. Pauline Parks of Calif.; 4 sons, Leon Bates of Calif., Mr. R. J. Bates and Mr. Ray Bates both of Gardendale, Cecil Bates of Ga.; 1 sister Mrs. Ethel Black of Ketonia; 2 brothers, James Teasley of Elmore, Ala. and Frank Teasley of West Jefferson; 21 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
