Dorothy Marie Broadhead passed away suddenly, but peacefully August 30, 2007 in Ogden, UT. She was born March 23, 1938 in Salt Lake City, UT to Kenneth and Edith Nielsen. She grew up in Salt Lake City. She was an excellent cook. She was absolutely brilliant and could do anything she put her mind to. She held management positions for 7-11 Corp, Continental Trailways, a Mail Carrier and then retired as Postmaster. Married Alvin Clerico, later divorced. She then married the love of her life Melvin T. Broadhead; they resided in the South Salt Lake Valley, Smithfield, UT and then on to Star Valley Wyoming where there are country roads and big open spaces. There were never any time limits on her generosity or compassion. Many were taken under her wing and into her home as if they were her very own.

She was a friend to all and if you knew her, you loved her. She personified LOVE, courage, hope, strength, determination, compassion, help, encouragement, and prayer. The most important things to her were the Lord, Pa, her family, friends and the people she met through her "I was just thinking" web site. She began her Christian web site in 1998 and continued it until her death sharing scriptures, stories, thoughts, ideas and ordinary life with her readers which were literally from around the world. She instilled in each one of us an awareness of God and her greatest desire is to point people to Jesus. She wanted people to see Jesus, not her. He is with us and in us. When we think of Mom we think of love, and we know she is now basking in His love. See Matthew 25: 34-36, 40. Her love for animals gave her association in the Wasatch Rabbit Club, Arabian Horse Association, American Kennel Club, Australian Sheppard Club of America, American Miniature Horse Registry, and American Shetland Pony Club.

Graveside Services were held on Friday, September 7th 2007 at 10 AM at Redwood Memorial Estates located at 6500 South Redwood Road in Taylorsville, Utah where she was buried.
