Charles Herbert Brooks, 78, of Winona, died February 20 at the Tyler Holmes Hospital in Winona.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Louise Hemphill of Winona; two sisters, Mrs. Idell Adams, of Mathiston, and Mrs. Edna Gregory of St. Louis, Mo.; four brothers, Oscar Brooks and Bernard Brooks of Mathiston; James Colvin Brooks of Eupora and Wilson Brooks of Pascagoula; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held at Winona First Baptist Church, Friday, February 22 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend David Pratt officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Powell Golding, Aubrey Boone, Dan Middleton, Charles Billingsley, Jr., Arnold Hammond and Ed Fondren.
