He had lived in the Rossville area for most of his life and retired from the Wheeland Foundry after more than 25 years of service. He was also an Army Veteran and an avid Nascar Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winston & Frances Snow Abercrombie and one brother, Fred Abercrombie. Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Janet & Wayne Myers of Whitwell, TN; brother, Terry Abercrombie of Rossville, GA; 3 sisters & brothers-in-law, Betty & Hugo Borresen of Jacksonville, FL, Joyce Rogers of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, and Dianne & John Whitlow of Rossville, GA; 3 grandchildren, Marty, Jr., Max & Nathaniel and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
