Mrs. Mary Jane Gill, the widow of W. W. Gill, Sr., died yesterday at her residence in Fleming, after a brief illness. She is survived by four sons, W. W. Gill of Roding, J. C. Gill, J. F. Gill and C. A. Gill of Fleming; five daughters, Mrs. Martha Ann Clark and Mrs. M. L. Coffer of Fleming, Mrs. Sarah McLamb of DuPont, Mrs. Etta Haymans of Homerville and Mrs. Francis Harris of Screven; two brothers, C. J. Bashlor and J. P. Bashlor of Fleming, and one sister, Mrs. J. R. McCellar of Fleming.
The funeral will be held this morning at 11:30 o'clock from Roding Church, to which the remains will be taken by Fox and Weeks. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. D. J. B. Strippy, pastor of the church, will officiate. (Savannah Morning News, Mar. 22, 1924)
