A lifetime Garrettsville area resident, she was a James A. Garfield High School graduate, and former active member of the United Church of Garrettsville. Mrs. Perkins earned her degree in Elementary Education at Hiram College, following which she taught second and third grade at Aurora City Schools. She also taught at Nelson Elementary and Garrettsville Christian School. Kristin was an avid reader and a member of the 20th. Century Club.
She is survived by her children Timothy (Dolores) Perkins of Windham, and Rebeccah (Loy) Hibbs of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters Amelia Schwartz of Seven Hills, Faith Morris of Hartville and Karen Miller of Garrettsville. Her grandchildren Sarah and Elizabeth and great-grandchild Aiden also survive.
On December 23, 1956, she married Richard Perkins who preceded her in death in 2012. Her granddaughter Mallory Howard, and brother Henry Kelker also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Monday July 27, 2020 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 10:00 A.M.-10:30 A.M.
