Mr. John Robert "J.R." Ward, Sr., 78, died unexpectedly at his home near Holden Beach, NC on July 22, 2020.
Mr. Ward was born in Guildford County, NC on August 13, 1941 and was son of the late William Arthur Ward and Ruby Smith Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Haith Ward of the home; children, Sharon Welker and John Robert Ward, Jr; step-children, Vicki Fargis, Cynthia Apple, Scott Haith; grandchildren, Victoria Steeds, Dustin Hardy, Daniel Welker; great-granddaughter, Kimber Steeds.
A private family funeral service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Sabbath Home Baptist Church with Pastor Wade McLamb officiating. Burial will follow in the Sabbath Home Baptist Church Cemetery. Services will be broadcast live at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia/Supply Chapel Facebook page on Saturday, July 25 at 1:00 p.m.
