Private family services have been held for Kathryn R. Yates, 76, who died Tuesday at her Petaluma home.
Mrs. Yates was born in Colusa and was a member of a pioneer ranching family in the Sacramento area. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and was both a homemaker and assisted her husband in operating a ranch at Williams. They moved to Petaluma in 1965.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Yates of Petaluma; a brother Trent King of Williams; and three nieces. Her husband, Mervyn Yates, preceded her in death in 1981.
Services were held at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary. Inurnment was private.
