Bob was born on a farm in Indiana; but moved his family South 50 years ago. His children were his true loves. He was so proud of them. However, he was a man of many talents and interests. He worked a lifetime in the wire business. None of that compares to his work when he was needed by his family. They knew Dad would always help, if at all possible. He was also known for his work helping others with car issues. His daughter, Patty, often called him “Motor Head.” Then there were the Sunday drives with the family - unless NASCAR was on TV, a must see. After retirement, add to that the 4 o’clock drives insisted upon by his beloved dog, Sally. But if we were to talk about one thing Bob did that always made him smile, it would be to know he was in the “Clean Plate Club”. He loved to eat! Ice Cream just might be at the top of the list. To say it was his favorite is an understatement. So, to honor Robert Louis Adcock tonight … have a dish of ice cream.
