Born Sept. 11, 1923 in McFall, Mo., Mrs. Magee graduated from New Hampton High School in 1941, before moving to the Plattsburg area.
On Feb. 22, 1942, she married Wilbur D. Magee. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1972.
Mrs. Magee worked as city clerk of the City of Plattsburg from 1973 until she retired in 1993.
Mrs. Magee was a member of the United Methodist Church in Plattsburg, serving as the church treasurer for many years, as well as being a member of the Plattsburg Senior Care Center and an avid bowler.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Elizabeth (Osborn) Stewart.
Survivors: a son and his wife, Darrel and Sheryl of Stewartsville, Mo.; a brother and his wife, Bill and Beverly Stewart of Platte City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Heather and Erin, both of Plattsburg and Adams and his wife, Joan, of Independence, Mo.; a great-grandson, A.J. of Independence, Mo.; a nephew and his wife, Jef and Suzanne Stewart of Erie, Colo.; two nieces and their husbands, Brenda K. and Curtis Brought of Platte City, Mo. and Lisa A. and Roger Giger of Camden Point, Mo.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2004, at Bailey & Cox Family Funeral Service, Plattsburg, Mo. Burial will be at Foster Cemetery, New Hampton, Mo. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Plattsburg Senior Center.
