Rose Henderson Strayer

Funeral services for Rose Henderson Strayer, 73, of Winona were held at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Mixon officiating. Mrs. Strayer died Thursday, Jan. 31, 1985, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital and was buried in the Winona Garden of Memory.

A native of Grapevine, Ark., she was married to the late Lloyd Strayer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winona.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Pearson of Hudson, Iowa; one son, Larry Strayer of Winona; six sisters, Mrs. Mary J. Grant of Silver Springs, Md., Mrs. Myrtie Long of Morristown, Ind., Mrs. Elta Reynolds of San Lorenzo, Calif., Mrs. Kittie Durham, Mrs. Ruth Henry and Mrs. Shirley Waymack, all of Pine Bluff, Ark., one brother, Joe Henderson of McGeeHee, Ark., and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jack Marshall, Dennis Dean, David Collins, Charles Hull, Billy Ferguson and Aubrey Boone. Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
