She attended Gallipolis City Schools and graduated from Kyger Creek High School with the Class of 1961.
She continued her education and graduated from Gallipolis Business College. At the age of twenty, Donna was appointed the Deputy Recorder of Gallia County by Mary Wetherholt, a five term Recorder.
Upon the untimely death of Mary, Donna was appointed the acting Gallia County Recorder until Robert Owen was appointed to fill the unexpired term.
After her time in the Recorders Office, she worked for several other businesses in the area.
Donna was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church.
She is survived by a niece, Loretta Eblin; special cousin, Judy Sofranko and numerous cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Paul Keahey; paternal grandparents, David and Etta Altizer; maternal grandparents, John and Rosa Haffelt; brother, John David; several aunts and uncles; good friend, Harry White; her beloved dog, Blackie and several much loved cats.
Donna passed away at Holzer Senior Care Center, Bidwell, Ohio following an extended illness
According to her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Private entombment will be conducted in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis, Ohio.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis Ohio has been entrusted with the arrangements of Donna’s final wishes.
