Charlotte Alice Wilson Battin, 87, passed away peacefully at Azalea Gardens in Tallahassee, FL, on July 20, 2020. With a ready smile and sweet ways, she brought pleasure to those around her. Azalea staff lovingly bestowed on her the nickname, Princess, because of the matching outfits, earrings and necklaces that she donned every day. She was gracious in every way – serving the Lord through every encounter. Charlotte was a long-time resident of Panama City, FL, a guidance counselor at Mosley High School, and member of Holy Nativity Episcopal Church. She joyfully served the Lord for many years as a priest's wife and choir member and influenced numerous students as they navigated teen life. Her heart overflowed with love making everyone feel welcomed and valued. She had a fun sense of humor, spreading delight with her boisterous laugh and beautiful smile.

She was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, leaving to attend college in Tuscaloosa, AL, where she would meet the man of her dreams, Bob Battin. As a young woman, Charlotte had a dream that the Lord called her to become a pastor's wife. Holy Nativity honored their lifelong service to Christ by naming the fellowship hall in honor of "Fr. Bob and Charlotte". They served in Episcopal churches in Ft Meade MD, Americus GA, Augusta GA, Birmingham AL (where she obtained a BA and MA in English) and Jackson MS, adding a new daughter at each of these towns. She loved entertaining friends and family, singing, the beach, Siamese cats, and would never pass up dessert!

She is preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. Robert Davis Battin, Jr, her parents, James Baird Wilson and Susan Alice Williams Wilson, and her brothers, Richard Barker Wilson and James Ronald Wilson.
