"Funeral services for Willie Arnett Sr., of 509 South Garrett, Marshall, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, in South Side Church Of Christ, with John Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow at New Zion Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Mr. Arnett died Sunday at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. A native of Harleton, he was a member of South Side Church Of Christ, in Marshall. Survivors include his wife, Daisy Mae Arnett; three sons, Alvin V. Arnett, of Houston, Willie Arnett Jr. and David E. Arnett, both of Marshall; three daughters, Vivian Arnett, Zelma Morgan and Willie B. Arnett, all of Houston; two brothers, Odis Arnett, of Dallas; and Henry Arnett, of Houston; four sisters, Ernestine Franklin and Azaree Arnett, both of Marshall, and Glodene Sanders and Addierene Williams, both of Houston; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives."
