CRONE. Died -03-1967. Services were held at two-thirty o'clock Sunday afternoon at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home for Albert Edward Crone of Route One, Jerseyville, whose death occurred at seven thirty-five o'clock Friday evening at the Waters Nursing Home where he had resided the past nine years. Reverend Jack Brown of Kane officiated and burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Mr. Crone was born in Greene County, September 25, 1875, a son of the late David and Elizabeth Rae Crone. His age at the time of death was ninety-one years, five months and twenty-nine days. In addition to many years as a farmer, Mr. Crone served on the governing board of Jersey County as Supervisor from Jersey Township. His health had been impaired for a number of years. Surviving Mr. Crone are one son, Edward E., who resides on the family farm north of Jerseyville; three grandsons, Edward B., David M., and Kevin Earl Crone; two sisters, Mrs. M. M. (Charlotte) Post and Mrs. George (Ethel) Belt of Jerseyville; and one brother, Ernest, also of Jerseyville. His parents, two brothers, James and William Robert, and four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Connors, Mrs.Mary Halliday, Mrs. Anna Hefner, and Gladys Fern Crone, preceded him in death.
