Margaret Lucille Hall, 85 years old of Independence, IA, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, Prairie Hills Assisted Living in Independence.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 7, 2014, at the White Funeral Home, Independence, IA with inurnment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until services time, Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Lucille was born April 30, 1929, in Buchanan County, IA, the daughter of Ralph Cornwell and Margaret I. (Wenger) Cornwell. She graduated from Independence High School and on April 26, 1947, she was united in marriage to Vernon Dale “Bud” Hall in Independence. They spent most of their life in Independence where they raised their family. They were owners and managers of the Rush Park Mobile Home Park in Independence for many years.

Lucille is survived by two daughters, Margaret “Peg” Weber of Weeki Wachee, Florida, Cindy (Mike) Dunn of Cedar Rapids; one son Timothy (Sheila) Hall of Dubuque; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; four brothers, Ed (Phyllis) Cornwell of Shawnee, Kansas, Robert (Fran) Cornwell of Boise, Idaho, Jim (Karen Knutson) Cornwell of Aransas Pass, Texas, Walt (Dorothy) Cornwell of Enid, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mildred Kenzer of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Irene Butterfield of Ft. Myers, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband in 2011; also her parents; one son, Vernon Dale “Buddy” Hall, Jr. in 1962; four sisters, Myrtle Hind, Myrle Schulmeister, Ruth Stephens and Martha Long.
