Mrs. Maie Ballard, 75, of 204 Oak St., Meadowbrook, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Wood River Township Hospital.
She was born Sept. 21, 1897, in Greene County and married Troy Ballard, Feb. 17, 1915, in Alton.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Imogene) Hanner of Rosewood Heights; a son, Keith of Wood River; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Jackson of Granite City and a brother, Kenneth Hefner of Meadowbrook.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Clarence Patton officiating.
The body will be moved to Wrights, Ill. for burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
