Joe Reese Owens, 50, died at his residence at 242 Marsalis in Dallas Wednesday morning.
Graveside services are to be held at Elkhart Garden of Memories Cemetery today at 4 p.m. with Hershall Bearden officiating.
Mr. Owens was born in Elkhart, Aug. 24, 1926. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a fireman and later an engineer for the Missouri Pacific Railroad.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. T. F. Owens of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Karen Sue Hankins of Oklahoma, Mrs. Cathy Owens of Kingsville and Miss Cindy Owens of Palestine; three brothers, Lee Owens, T. F. Owens, Jr. and Mack Owens, all of Dallas.
