The death of John F. Carroll, 54, occurred on Wednesday at his home on the Ovid-Willard Road after a short illness. Mr. Carroll had always resided in this vicinity. For 28 years he had been stationary engineer at the Willard State Hospital. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Carroll; three daughters, Olive, Lois, and Theresa at home; his mother, Mrs. Katherine Carroll; one sister, Miss Catherine Carroll, all of Willard; two brothers, James of Rochester and George of North Tonawanda. The funeral was held Saturday morning from Holy Cross Church at Ovid, with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
